![]() Unity, Faith and Discipline are our guiding principles to achieve the objectives of learning in the university and serving our fellow humanity. We at the University of Swat are dedicated to the responsibility of creating a global-knowledge disseminating hub transgressing national and International borders and territories, thereby transforming every student into a responsible human by igniting innovation in their minds, finally altering them into excellent professionals. Therefore it is our mission to align our teaching and learning process with the needs of the market, industries, technology and social needs. To cope with such challenges, the University of Swat has the additional responsibilities of training the selected community members as professionals in various fields, preparing them to be true leaders in the fields that they are associated with and which are critical for our sustainable survival. Accordingly, our university must reflect upon the blessings that we got inherited through innovative approaches for learning and management-based research to cope with the existing and emerging challenges that have and can put our environment at risk at the expense of our survival. The University of Swat is located in an area that is being recognized as a Hub of old civilizations, diversity of nature, cultures, and landscapes, and which has a fragrant environment with hospitable people. This will help us to ensure the ongoing relevance of our academic programmers and the continued excellence of our teaching. To meet this challenge, we will be building alliances and collaborative partnerships with businesses, the Government, and other research institutions. My challenge is to help generate ideas that will benefit society and educate and train students to work in fields where they will be valued both for their specialized knowledge, and for their ability to research, communicate and solve problems. I am focused to initiate and flourish this culture at the University of Swat in a bid to make it a center of excellence in Teaching, Research, and its service to local, national and international communities. Teachers need to think out of the nutshell of syllabi and students should maneuver to go beyond grades. This purpose can be achieved when a university applies an unorthodox pitch and students accept it with passion. Degrees should be supplemented with the value addition of cutting-edge approach, prolific mindset and applied expertise.
